Pool Water Testing
Drop-test kits, strips and digital testers compared on what they measure and how many tests you get.
Balanced water starts with accurate tests. Drop kits with FAS-DPD chlorine tests read free chlorine precisely even at high levels; strips are quick and fine for routine checks; salt pools need a salt test too.
Test free chlorine and pH several times a week in season, and alkalinity, calcium hardness and stabilizer (CYA) every few weeks.
